Summer Activities: Helping Connect Children to Nature

There is just something about summer that screams for back-to-nature fun. As a child, I spent summers outdoors even though I’m an Arizona girl. Kids don’t seem to mind the heat like adults. We never had our own pool, but sometimes we’d find our way to the neighborhood pool. With the rising mercury I find myself looking to lazy days of science and nature activities to help keep my daughter from becoming a Guitar Hero. I’m building my list of summer activities which I say is for my daughter, but really I’m so excited about them. Here are just a few summer activities helping to connect children to nature.
